Another area of drivetrain noise can be the front driveshaft. This is especially true on 4.7L Quadra-Drive models. The front driveshaft's CV joints seem to wear a bit faster than regular U-joints or Double Cardan-equipped shafts. Crown carries replacement parts. Also note the weeping pinion seal.
