The olive drab paint on this stripped tub hints it might be a rare WWII vintage Willys MB until you spot the tailgate opening. Real MB's (and Ford-built GPW's) do not have tailgates. Then again, the Spicer model 23-2 full-floating rear axle - with its signature six-bolt flanged hubs - is specific to military Jeeps. All but the earliest CJ-2A's used Spicer model 41 or 44 rear axles with semi-floating axle shafts. View Related Article
