The instructions tell you to put the oil pump and pickup tube into the other half of the T-case, and stick it back in place. If you forget to put the oil pump in before you put the two halves of the T-case together, use a small screwdriver as shown to get the pickup tube back into the oil pump housing. It’s important to get these things lined up, or the case will self-destruct a few miles down the road.
