Brotherly Love
We don't know how they do it, but Bryan and Stephen Kliefoth of Yardley, Pennsylvania, co-own this '00 TJ. They put 4.10 gears in the front with a Detroit Truetrac, while the rear Dana 35 got matching gears, a Super 35 kit, and a Detroit Locker. That lets them spin the 32x11.50R15 BFG All-Terrain tires. Making way for those tires are Skyjacker 1 1/2-inch coils with 1-inch front coil spacers and 1 1/4-inch rear coil spacers. We'd just have problems turning the keys over with so much puddle-jumping fun to be had.
Air Jeep
Dan Sherman of Palmdale, California, sent us three decent pictures of his '02 TJ. We were having problems settling on which picture to run: the front tires in the air off a bump on a steep hillclimb, the beautiful scenic view with Jeep attached, or the other beautiful scenic view. This TJ sports a 4 1/2-inch Rubicon Express Super-Flex short-arm kit, Advance Adapters slip-yoke eliminator, and Tom Wood's driveshaft sitting on 33x12.50R15LT Dunlop Radial Mud Rover tires wrapped around 15-inch Extreme Steel Rock Crawlers. Dan proves it's not how built you are, it's how you use your Jeep.
Teeter-J
Looks like this 8-inch Rubicon Express-lifted '95 XJ would make a great teeter-totter in its current position. Belonging to Dave Steinhoff of Gladstone, Michigan, its got a set of 35x12.50R15 BFG Mud Terrain tires with a Power Trax no-slip in the front Dana 30 axle along with a spool and Alloy USA shafts in the rear Dana 44. The rear bumper and tire carrier, rock rails, and skidplates for the oil pan, transmission, transfer case, and gas tank are all Dave-made units. He also custom-built the 3-inch snorkel that relocated the air filter to the roof, keeping the engine dry during those long Michigan rainy seasons.
