Kenosha Jeep
Nope, we weren't any more creative than that. The "Kenosha Jeep" can now be seen driving around Kenosha, Wisconsin. This '60 CJ-5 belongs to Dave Meyers who has swapped in a 305 V-8 out of a GMC truck, mated that to a T-90, and then stuck it to the stock drivetrain. The Dana 18, front Dana 25, and rear Dana 44 are all holding up to the added power so far. Lift shackles clear the 265/75 R15 Firestone tires, while the Rallye wheels were swiped off an International Scout II.
Big Red
We could tell you about the engine, transmission, and transfer case of Jeramy Stephens' '01 XJ, or we could tell you that he is from Bryan, Texas, and make some "bigger in Texas" joke. But we won't. We'll start at the ground and work up: 36x13.50 R15 Super Swamper Irok radials mounted on Ultra Magnum wheels and bolted to a high-pinion Dana 44 front axle stuffed with 5.13 gears and a Detroit EZ Locker with a rear Ford 9-inch stuffed with the same internals. All we know is that the rear got custom leaves, while the front is sporting a one-off long-arm kit with 611/42-inch springs and ACOS coil spacers for around 8 inches of lift.
Postcard Jeep
If you want to be guaranteed a shot at Jeep Shots, do like Judson Goodwin did and send us before, during, and after pictures of an awesome '52 M38. Then, under the "What was this vehicle built to do" portion of the form, use the answer, "Protect your freedom." Heck, this picture is even our desktop on the computer now. He tells us he drove in this Jeep when he was six years old, and it's one of only about 2,100 built in the Ford plant in Canada. From what we can see, he has restored the M38 back to its original form, including the Ramsey winch sitting between the front framerails.
