Jamboree-ing
With as many soccer moms as we see driving new Wranglers, we worry about the future of the brand. But it is always good to get letters like this. This Jeep Wrangler Unlimited belongs to Chris Langley of Burlington, Ontario, Canada. It is his first Jeep. The picture was taken at the Jeep Jamboree in Bradford, Pennsylvania, and was a trip the whole family got to take. It was their first off-road experience, and from the sound of things, the whole family is hooked. The Jeep rides on a 4-inch lift and 35-inch Goodyear MT/R with Kevlar tires.

Jeeping Family
Cory Ingersoll of Rockford, Michigan, is only 21 years old but has an awesome ’80 CJ-7. He tells us there are about 20 Jeeps in his family and they have all been into Jeeping for as long as he can remember. Cory bought this one from his cousin in 2006 shortly after he got his first full-time job. The fiberglass body hides a 400ci Chevy V-8 bored 0.030 over and capped with Dart heads for a 10:1 compression ratio. A TF727 backs the engine, but Cory found out the hard way after this picture was taken that the vent is in the bellhousing. A Dana 300 T-case sends power out to the front Dana 30 and rear AMC 20 axles.

Chix Jeep
Calm down guys, this isn’t bonus Jeep Chix Sideways. This is a cool ’00 Grand Cherokee that belongs to a chick, however. Lacey Beemer of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, is the proud owner and not afraid to get it dirty. A 4.7L V-8 provides power and an NP242 allows both part- and full-time 4wd. A front Dana 30 and rear Dana 44 were moved away from the Unitbody thanks to a 6½-inch Iron Rock Off-Road lift kit which makes room for the 35x10.50-15 Super Swamper Boggers on 15x8 wheels. Plans for the future include a high-pinion Dana 44 front axle with an OX locker and a rear limited slip.

High Sierra
There is nothing like a vintage Jeep with stock parts getting out and getting it. Joe Walker of Iselton, California, sent us quite a few images of his ’67 CJ-5 participating in Sierra Trek in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the California side of the border. The Dauntless V-6 is still bolted to the stock transmission and Spicer 18 T-case but it has more muscle thanks to an HEI ignition system and a 470cfm Holley Truck Avenger carburetor. The stock Dana 27 front axle has been converted with disc brakes, 5.38 gears and a Power-Loc while a rear Dana 44 has 5.38 gears and a Detroit Locker. The Jeep rides high over 33-inch Goodyear tires thanks to a 4-inch lift.

Easy
This ’06 Unlimited Wrangler Rubicon was snapped in Disney, Oklahoma, below the Grand Lake Dam and belongs to Matt Paxson of Springfield, Missouri. A 4½-inch Rubicon Express Superflex kit clears a set of 33x12.50R15 Pro Comp X-Terrains. A Kilby Tummy Tucker and engine skid protects the six-speed transmission and NV241OR T-case. A GenRight Off Road cage protects the occupants while a pair of Wilderness bumpers and Olympic rock sliders guard the Jeep.
