 Jeep Industry News Jeep Trailhawk

Jeep Trailhawk
Is it us, or are all of Jeep's concepts and production vehicles starting to look the same? This is the Trailhawk, which we showed you a drawing of last month. The concept uses the new Wrangler JK's chassis platform and the Grand Cherokee's new Bluetec diesel. Plus, it has 33-inch-tall tires, a five-speed automatic transmission, solid axles front and rear, and 3.73 gearing. The Trailhawk also features a 116-inch wheelbase; its other key numbers include an overall length of 191.2 inches, a height of 69.3 inches, and a weight of around 3,900 pounds. Yes, it's buildable thanks to all those in-house production parts, but, ahem, can't we get a Gladiator before another Compass/Patriot/Commander? Besides, didn't Jeep already build these and call 'em ZJs and WJs?

Did ya catch the April Fools in the last issue? If you're the first to identify all of them and send us a really nice letter, we'll send you a Jp T-shirt.
