Jp Magazine Goes Paperless
Whether you're from the save-a-tree camp or just like the convenience of sitting in front of your computer for two more hours on a given day, you'll be happy to learn that Jp now can be had in digital form. Subscribing to the magazine this way means you can click and read as well as download the issue and read it offline. In fact, a subscription is only $10 for 10 issues-it's $20 for 10 if you go the paper route. Subscribe for a digital subscription at zinio.com. While there, you can also get Beer (yes, that's for real) and girly magazines. No more embarrassing exchanges for you and the mail guy!
What We're Talking About Around The Office
We know some famous people: the band Killola is one-and, yes, Lisa, who you see here. Liam Sullivan, who plays Kelly, the girl from the YouTube "Shoes" videos, is another. There's also Tony Becker, who was on Tour of Duty. Four Wheeler TV, too, but his IMDB listing doesn't mention that one.
Bands/musicians we dig include Foo Fighters, The Clash, and Brooks & Dunn.
Hazel never goes four-wheeling without a multitool ("Or a pistol. That's a tool, right?"). For Cappa, it's a sledgehammer. Pete always brings vise grips and some kind of knife, but not the butter variety.
Stuff we're dreading: Juggy's brake lines, Project J2008, and "MJ burn victim recovery."
Someone on staff actually knocks on wood for luck. Maybe he should stop doing that and he'd actually get lucky. Not in that way.
Future stories never to be seen in Jp: "Abandon a staffer in the desert" and "Build a Patriot rally car."
How we've gotten our best deals on Jeeps:, mostly, or "when Christian is sick of looking at a pile in his yard, I roll over and grab it for free."
Jp Magazine's Time-Waster Of The Month
Want to watch vehicles in action when you're on deadline/conference call/firing someone at work? Planet Pinned (www.planetpinned.com) is your destination. It's basically another one of those social networking places, but this one is dedicated to videos for off-road motorsports. There's even a section called "tanks and military" with actual firing action. We mean the explosive kind, not that employee you just sent scampering off to box up his cube.
It Just Got Easier To Buy GM Parts
GM Performance Parts has launched an online shopping portal on its Web site (www.gmperformanceparts.com). You can research parts (including specs and retail pricing), configure your engine and dyno it (the virtual way), get crate engine tips, and even read articles from our sister magazines.
