We are in no rush to get anywhere... We are in no rush to get anywhere mainly cause we are not exactly sure where we are going and we have no set time to get there. That’s part of the fun, and takes the stress out of a road trip. We had planned to head up to Crown King, Arizona, one of our favorite wheeling destinations. The most fun way is via the Crown King Trail or back road to Crown King, but local wild fires had the town evacuated and trails closed. We snapped this shot West of Lake Pleasant, AZ as we headed west instead of north searching for things to see. We got a bit of a late start... We got a bit of a late start on our first day and found ourselves in need of sleep and some grub in the town of Wickenburg, Arizona. Wickenburg is a super cool cowboy town that definitely captures the feel of the old west. Dinner at the Gold Nugget was expensive and the food was marginal at best. Breakfast at the Horse Shoe Cafe yielded yummy pancakes that are way bigger than Verne’s head. Trust us, that’s big. Skull Valley is a little north... Skull Valley is a little north and east of Hillside, AZ. It had a pretty cool looking garage and train depot converted to a museum with local history. We’ll have to go back as the museum was closed. Poop. SNAKEEE! Nothing gets Feature... SNAKEEE! Nothing gets Feature Editor Simons screaming like a little girl faster than a snake. Yep he’ll grab a 5-foot gator or monitor lizard, but snakes give him the heebie-jeebies. Okay we know these things are venomous and there is something that triggers a primordial fear in most people, but as long as you keep your distance you are fine. Way out here in the middle of nowhere this snake won’t hurt anyone and hey it even comes with a proximity warning system. Leave snakes alone if you see them out in the wild. This is their home we are just visiting it. How bout building a restomod... How bout building a restomod FC170 to travel around the country retrieving old mining equipment for the Gold King Mine and Ghost town. We dig. A rooster in a toy, CJ3-B yep, we saw that. Constellation, AZ Big Bertha make thunder! Also... Big Bertha make thunder! Also see the video. Oops! Fender flare. Cujo wanted a piece of us... Cujo wanted a piece of us! Hillside, AZ ’47 CJ2-A? Door storage. Rooster drives a CJ3-B
