Ever see a monkey fling poo? Well, we haven't either because we don't get the Discovery Channel nor are there monkeys in beautiful, scenic Los Angeles.
However, if you were ever present for our yearly "tops" discussion where we, ahem, discuss the top products, Jeeps, or Bree outfits for that year, we imagine it'd be a lot like monkeys flinging poo.
For this year's 10 Best New Products, we got rid of the flying fecal matter and moved directly into the realm of accountability. No more anonymous choices, here are the 10 Best Products of 2006 from the editors of Jp Magazine along with which product was voted for by which editor.
Gen-Right Off Road Fuel Tanks
Prior to the introduction of the Gen-Right Crawler Tank, the only way to move your axle back more than an inch was with a custom tank or fuel cell in the rear of the passenger compartment. With a 1/4-inch steel skidplate and all-aluminum construction, these tanks use all your existing emissions equipment, fuel pump, sending unit, and fuel fillers while allowing the rear axle to be moved back about 5 inches.

Three-Speed Deluxe
If you haven't heard of them yet, get out from under the rock. STaK 4x4 introduced its Monster Box, which pushed the aftermarket transfer case industry into a whole new direction. With 1:1, 3.05:1, and 5.44:1 as the premier ratios, the company now also offers a 1:1, 2.35:1, and 4.33:1 box as well. Made out of a thick aluminum case and entirely geardriven, this thing is stout and you owe it to yourself to check them out.

Poison Spyder Ricochet Rocker
Take a time-proven, bulletproof design then figure out a way to improve on that without taking away any of the strength and still have a unique-looking product. That's what Poison Spyder Customs did when it cooked up these Ricochet Rockers. The company took its regular Rocker Knocker and added a 5-inch-wide step made from DOM tube with an eye-catching dimple die plate. Now fend rocks off your Jeep while making it easier to get into.

Warn Powerplant Winch
Finally. Take a winch. Take an electric air compressor. Combine the two. Save wiring hassles, underhood crowding, and a score of other issues. Warn did it with its PowerPlant Winch. With the same winch quality we've come to expect in 9,500- and 12,000-pound varieties, the company added an air compressor that can inflate four 35-inch tires in eight minutes.

Meguiar's Wipes
The Meguiar's Gold Class protectant wipes get Cappa's resounding vote: "Gawd, these things kick ass when cleaning the dirt and stuff off the dash and vents." They're basically baby wipes with a Meguiar's protectant in them for cleaning and shining plastic, rubber, and vinyl.

Toyo Open Country MT Tire
Finally, a round mud terrain tire. They balance better than most any mud terrain we've tried, and they're quiet on the road while still having good traction off-road. This is a great mud terrain tire for the weekend-warrior kind of Jeep. Now, you can drive it every day and hit trails on the weekends without having to swap from too loud on the street to not enough voids and traction off-road.

Mastercraft Suspension Seat
We're talking about the new-for-'06 reclining suspension seats, of course. Coupling the fully welded frame with a well-thought-out suspension design and then adding a reclining mechanism to it all made for an awesome seat. Tech Editor Hazel said it best: "They are proving only slightly less comfortable than the standard MasterCraft suspension seat. That is to say, they are still way more comfy than stock Jeep seats."

Superflex U-Joint
Tom Wood's Custom Drive Shafts came across this Toyota mini-truck design and set out building joints that we could use in today's Jeep applications. With an offset trunion, the mating yokes that the joint is bolted into are farther apart. That means that you can get away with more driveshaft angularity before yoke interference occurs.

No-Drill Lights
The LiteDot kicks out a ton of light with just a 1/2-amp draw. For those of us that like the looks of 4-inch, round flush-mount lights or are just tired of destroying the stock lights on trees, these things rock. No drilling or cutting into the back of the Jeep is necessary because they bolt in the stock location and they've also got a built-in backup light.
