Tuff Firepan
With many Jeeps, taking a fire pit along for camping spots that require above-ground fires just isn't practical. The good old stand by of the washing machine drum works, but unless you clean it before you go and after you've had a fire in it, you will always get ashes and soot inside your Jeep. The Tuffy Firepan is made from 16-gauge steel with a convenient carrying handle, and fold-up legs. It helps keep the Jeep clean, and takes up less precious cargo space when packing the Jeep for a weekend getaway. Information: Tuffy Security Products, 970/564-1762, tuffyproducts.com
New Fridge-To-Go
The ARB Fridge Freezer has been around for a long time, and while it works great, technology marches on. The new 50-quart unit features the latest cooling technology and clever design features to make it more user-friendly. Like the unit it replaces, it is made to withstand the abuse of off-road travel. An internal LED light makes finding things in the dark a snap, a separate fruit/dry compartment keeps things safe from leaky beverage containers, and like the old fridge, it can run on 12V, 24V, or 110V AC. Cash-Saving Heat
So many of our older Jeeps either didn't come with heaters, or the heaters are in such bad shape that we need to rebuild and modify them to get them to actually heat the Jeep. Vintage Air is famous for stand alone HVAC units, but now the company has come up with a way to save money with a heater-only unit. It features the same high-quality the company is known for with a servo-activated water valve to keep that hot water out of the Jeep when it's not needed. In some cases it can be even be cheaper to buy this unit than to attempt replacing cables, blower motor, heater core, and fixing all the other issues with old-Jeep heaters. Bolt-In Daylight
ElectroSport Industries now offers one-stop shopping for your high-quality HID needs. If you have a Jeep with 7-inch round headlights, this bolt-in, plug-in kit will fit your Jeep. It features a 35-watt HID low beam and a 35-watt HID high beam. It has been tested and proven to fit not only TJs and AMC-era CJs, but the earlier CJs and FSJ with the completely enclosed-style headlight buckets. Even though these lights are exponentially brighter than the old sealed beams used in the old Jeeps, they draw less amperage, so you won't have to worry about your ancient wiring. Filter In A Box
Advanced Flow Engineering has come up with a three dimensional replacement to the stock JK Wrangler flat-panel air filter. The IRF (Inverted Replacement Filter) is available in 5-layer cotton gauze, 2-layer synthetic media, or 7-layer cotton gauze and synthetic combination for maximum filtering. By thinking three dimensionally, there is more filtering element than regular flat panels feature and equates to more air flow. Information: aFe Power, 951/493-7100, afepower.com
