Outdoor Knife
The AO F.A.S.T. 3.0 from Gerber Knives is aimed directly at the outdoor market, which makes it a good option for Jeep owners. It features an assisted-opening 3-inch drop point blade available in plain and partially-serrated edges. The carabiner that makes for easy attachment to almost anything also doubles as a bottle opener. If you want to pocket-carry it, there is also a convenient clip. The deep thumb grooves maximize grip for when your paws are covered in Jeep goo. Information: Gerber Gear, 800/950-6161, gerbergear.com
Premium Organization
We all know that space is at a premium in our short wheelbase Jeeps, but until now the only way to solve the issue has been to get a bigger Jeep or heap things willy-nilly in various racks. The Intelligent Rack from Smittybilt is manufactured from 3/16-inch steel and attaches to any factory or aftermarket Jeep tire carrier. It includes all the necessary hardware to mount a Hi Lift Jack and a Gerry Can and it is fully adjustable so that you can mount them anywhere on the rack that makes sense for you. Hide-Away
If you don't have space in your dashboard for a radio, have an old-school Jeep and don't want to ruin it by hacking up the dash, or just want to hide the radio out of the elements, the Secret Audio SST might be for you. It boasts 200 watts of power, a USB port, auxiliary inputs, ipod interface and control, AM/FM CD controller, satellite radio input, and the LCD shows song, artist, and title. All controls can be manipulated up to 40 feet away via the included remote control. Information: Custom Autosound, 800/888-8637, custom-autosound.com
Spare Tank
The new 20- and 25-gallon auxiliary fuel tanks for '07-present JK can double your fuel capacity and range. It bolts in where your factory muffler resides and uses a transfer pump to fill your stock tank. A special Y-shaped adapter allows easy filling of both tanks from the factory fuel filler. Because it uses all the factory emissions equipment and can accept your stock pump, it can be used in place of the stock mid-mounted tank as well. The tank is made out of 1/8-inch-thick aluminum, while the included skidplate is 3/16-inch-thick steel. Information: Gen-Right Off Road, 805/584-8635, genright.com
Bolted Beef
If you are looking to replace the Dumbo wings on your JK but don't want to hack and drill as is required for many fender flares, these XRC fenders might be for you. They are made from 3/16-inch cold-rolled steel and are powdercoated in a signature two-stage textured finish. They are a complete bolt-on using the included stainless steel fasteners. The side ducts are removable for easy installation of a snorkel and they provide more tire clearance than stock. A complete inner liner is included to keep mud and snow out of the engine compartment and the side plates are easily removable. Information: Smittybilt, 888/717-5797, smittybilt.com
Third
File this under the category of "Why didn't the factory think of that?" Since the four-door JK was released, we expected a third row seating option to show up. Since the factory never stepped up, TeraFlex has. This simple steel bracket allows four-door owners to bolt a two-door rear seat down in the cargo area and retain the factory fold-and-tumble feature. The bracket is CNC-cut and has a durable powdercoat finish. The seat can be mounted in either front-facing or rear-facing orientations and is removable without tools. Steel Lights
These steel light boxes from Warrior Products are a strong and low-buck alternative to constantly replacing your tree-prone JK tail lights. Available blank, with one 4-inch light cutout, or with a 4-inch and 11/2-inch cutouts, they come powdercoated in semi-gloss black. Some minor cutting is required for fitment and the company also offers light kits and load resistors (if you opt for LED lights). Information: Warrior Products, 888/220-6861, warriorproducts.com
