Your Quick Question:
I have a '99 Wrangler and I purchased a set of 32-inch Goodyear Wrangler MTR tires. Can I mount those tires on my factory 15x8 aluminum rims?

Jp's Quick Answer:
Yep, the 32s will fit the wheels fine. We'd put a little lift on the Jeep though, maybe 2 to 2 1/2 inches or so. Otherwise, without a lift 31s fit clean with no trimming.

Your Quick Question:
I just put 4.88s in my '99 TJ. Do you guys know what tooth gear I need to make the Speedo read right?

Jp's Quick Answer: It depends on the tire size. Go by what's on the sidewall of the tire:
Tire size
33---------------------------41 tooth
35---------------------------39 tooth
36---------------------------35 tooth
37---------------------------34 tooth

The dealer can get them.

Your Quick Question:
I have a '69 Jeep Wagoneer and I'm interested in lifting it. I know Skyjacker makes suspension lifts for '74-and-up Wagoneers and Cherokees, but will they work on my '69? It seems to me that the body styles and suspensions didn't change much over the years.

Jp's Quick Answer:
The '74-and-later FSJs have longer front springs, so if you can do some welding and cutting then you can use them. The only company that we know of that makes a 3-inch front lift spring for the '73-and-older FSJs is Rancho Suspension. Go to www.gorancho.com and click "applications." An add-a-leaf can be used in the rear.

Your Quick Question:
I have a '94 YJ with a 6-inch lift and I have a question for you: I just finished putting a fixed yoke and CV driveshaft in and wondered if the spacers for my big skidplate/transmission mounts are still nesessary because the fixed yoke kit I got is a high angle. I found that when I dropped the skidplate, my shift pattern wasn't as smooth.

Jp's Quick Answer:
You should be able to run it without the spacers. You may need to readjust the pinion angle to make sure everything is in line though. Once you're done, droop the suspension and check for binding in the driveshaft. Either limit wheel travel or clearance it a little if it does bind.

Your Quick Question:
I have a '02 TJ (my second TJ) that has 3:07 gears. I'm running 32x11.5 tires and would like to upgrade the gears to regain the street performance. I've installed a 4-inch Pro Comp lift and will probably go with 33s for the next set of tires. Should I go with 4:10s or the 4:56s? My Jeep is driven most days.

Jp's Quick Answer:
With a 4.0L six, we'd go for the 4.56 gears--a little more punch out of the hole with the 32s and better overall for the 33s. If you were running the four-popper we'd say 4.88s; 33s really suck the life out of the 2.5L.
