Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ Lift - Better than Stock
|
The stock control arms are a prime example of what budgetary compromises manufacturers must make when engineering new vehicles. Although they work fine for what they're designed to do, the stamped-steel channel quickly finds its off-roading limit when pushed beyond a basic dirt road. The arms twist, or are bent by rocks, and bushings deteriorate and fall out. The tubular Rubicon Express arms are much sturdier due to shape and material. The Super-Flex arms (shown) also make use of a Rubicon Express rebuildable, spherical bearing (or joint) that utilizes a polymer race surrounding a hardened steel insert. View Related Article
